These terms are the agreement between you and Story Becomes when you use storybecomes.com or app.storybecomes.com, or order a movie.
By using the site or ordering a movie, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
Who we are
Story Becomes (“we” or “us”) is Trigger Point Systems (dba storybecomes).
We run storybecomes.com and app.storybecomes.com.
Our mailing address is 5151 California Ave, Irvine, CA 92617.

Who can order
You must be at least 18 to order a movie or to have an account.
What we make
A short movie starring the person you choose, made with AI tools from your answers and photos.
Because AI tools draw and voice it, a movie can get things wrong: a face may not look exactly like your photos, and a detail may come out differently from how you told it.
The order page shows the price of each thing you choose before you pay for it.
Paying
You pay at checkout, through Stripe.
You pay the price shown when you pay, and a later price change never changes an order you already paid for.
If a price changes while you are on the page, checkout shows you the new price before anything is charged.
Checkout keeps your card on file with Stripe, so after paying you can add an extra with one tap, and an extra is charged only when you buy it.
If you start a kids show, the same card pays the show’s bills, as the Kids shows section below says.
The own-voice extra is charged only when you send a recording we can use, and skipping it charges nothing.

When it is ready
Checkout shows when your movie should be ready, for the delivery you choose.
That is our aim, not a guarantee.
Your movie plays at a link we give you, and in your account.
Your account
When you pay, we make you an account under your email at app.storybecomes.com.
You sign in with a link we email you, so keep your email account safe.
Membership plans
This section is about a membership you join in your account.
A kids show is not a membership, and its own section is below.
A membership renews every month, on the same day, on the card you joined with, until you cancel.
You can cancel a membership any time in your account: your plan then runs until the end of the month you paid for, and nothing more is charged.
Unused movies your plan gave you never expire, unless the charge that paid for them is refunded.
Kids shows
A kids show makes a new movie of the child it is for every week or every month, until you cancel.
You can start one when you buy a movie on our kids page, or later in your account.
Before you start it, the page shows the price of each movie and how often you are billed.
A weekly show bills the movies of one or more weeks at once, every that many weeks, as the page shows, and a monthly show bills one movie each month.
When you start a show at checkout, you pay for the first movie only.
The first bill comes when the second movie starts, on the card you paid with, and the show then bills on the same schedule until you cancel.
Each bill is at the price you saw when you started the show, and a later price change never changes it.
If your bank needs you to confirm the card, or a bill does not go through, the show waits, and we email you so you can sort out the card in your account.
Before each movie, we email you to ask what it should be about, and if you do not answer, we pick from what you told us and the child’s age.
You can skip a movie in your account, and the movie you paid for is kept for later, up to the most a show can keep.
You can pause the show in your account, and nothing is billed and no movie is made until you resume it.
You can cancel any time in your account: the show stops billing at the end of what you paid for, and the movies you already paid for are still made.
A refunded bill takes back the movies it paid for that were not made yet.
While the show runs, we keep the child’s photos in your account so each movie looks like them, until you remove them or switch keeping photos off in your account.
Your photos, words and voice
You keep the rights you have in what you send us: your answers, your photos and your recording.
You let us use them, and share them with the services named in our Privacy Policy, only to make your movie, deliver it and run your order, and, when you ask us to keep photos in your account, for your later movies.
You promise that:
- you have the right to send us each photo and every word you write;
- you may share the photos of everyone in them;
- for anyone under 18 in your photos or answers, you are their parent or guardian, or have their parent’s or guardian’s permission;
- a recording you send for the own-voice extra is your own voice.
We use your recording only to narrate your movie, and delete it, and the copy of your voice made from it, once your movie is finished.
Your movie
Your movie is for you and the people you share it with, for personal use: you may watch it and share it, but not sell it or use it to advertise anything.
Anyone with your movie’s link, or a premiere page’s link, can watch it, so share them with care.
We keep your movie until you ask us to delete it.
What you may not do
- Send photos, names or details of someone you have no right to share.
- Make a movie to mock, harass, threaten or deceive anyone.
- Send anything sexual or hateful, or anything that could harm a child.
- Break the law, or try to break into, overload or copy the site.
We may refuse or stop any order that breaks these terms.
Emails and texts
We email you about your orders and your account, as our Privacy Policy describes.
When you give us your phone number and go on past the line that says so, you agree to texts from us about your order.
Msg and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to stop them.
You understand that consent is not required to make any purchase from us.
You acknowledge that the message frequency varies and that consent is not a condition to purchase.
You understand and agree that the foregoing options are the only reasonable methods of opting out.
You understand and agree that attempting to opt out by texting other words or verbally requesting one of our team members to remove you from our list is not accounted for as a reasonable means of opting out.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
What we cannot promise
We do not guarantee, represent or warrant that your use of our service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.
We do not warrant that the results that may be obtained from the use of the service will be accurate or reliable.
You agree that from time to time we may remove the service for indefinite periods of time or cancel the service at any time, without notice to you.
You expressly agree that your use of, or inability to use, the service is at your sole risk.
The service and all products and services delivered to you through the service are (except as expressly stated by us) provided 'as is' and 'as available' for your use, without any representation, warranties or conditions of any kind, either express or implied, including all implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement.
In no case shall Trigger Point Systems (dba storybecomes), our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content (or product) posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service, even if advised of their possibility.
Because some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states or jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Liability shall never exceed the amount paid for the product.
Any claim must be brought within 1 year of the event.
We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our control including natural disasters, supply disruptions, etc.
Nothing in these terms takes away a right the law gives you that cannot be taken away.
Movies made with AI
Our movies are made with artificial intelligence ("AI") and other automated systems.
While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated movies may contain errors, omissions, or details that do not match your photos or what you told us.
Trigger Point Systems (dba storybecomes) and its affiliates make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or likeness of any movie.
Trigger Point Systems (dba storybecomes), its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damages arising out of your reliance on a movie.
By ordering a movie, you agree that you do so at your own risk and that all such orders are subject to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
Prices and promotions
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.
We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.
All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at anytime without notice, at the sole discretion of us.
We continuously test pricing to optimize performance and customer experience.
Any listed "former prices" (e.g., strikethrough pricing) may reflect a prior offered price, a suggested retail price, or a price tested in recent promotional campaigns.
The strikethrough price does not necessarily represent a price that was offered or charged in the 90 days immediately preceding any given promotion.
Countdown timers or urgency indicators used on the site reflect promotional windows, but do not imply a permanent or universal pricing condition.
We make no representation that a former price was offered for any specific length of time.
Pricing is subject to change without notice and may vary depending on time, region, channel, or customer segment.
You pay the price shown when you pay, and a later price change never changes an order you already paid for.
Errors, inaccuracies and omissions
Occasionally there may be information on our site or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability.
We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).
We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information in the Service or on any related website, including without limitation, pricing information, except as required by law.
No specified update or refresh date applied in the Service or on any related website, should be taken to indicate that all information in the Service or on any related website has been modified or updated.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Trigger Point Systems (dba storybecomes) and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.
Binding arbitration and class action waiver
By using this website or purchasing from us, you agree that any disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or relating to these Terms, our products, or services shall be resolved by final and binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify.
You agree to waive any right to a jury trial and agree that any arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis only.
You further agree that you shall not participate in any class actions, class arbitrations, or representative actions against Trigger Point Systems (dba storybecomes).
This arbitration agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), and shall take place in the State of Delaware, unless both parties agree otherwise.
Any claims will be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Before filing arbitration, you must provide written notice and allow 30 days to resolve the dispute.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive any right to a jury trial in any dispute arising out of these Terms.
The law that applies
These terms, our Privacy Policy and what you chose at checkout are the whole agreement between you and us.
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you products or services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Severability
In the event that any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.
